Duveneck

Duveneck, which is named after the famous Cincinnati artist, is located next to the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Here two buildings were joined with a central elevator to service fifteen condos. While building this elevator a sub-basement was discovered. This sub basement room had an arched ceiling over 14 feet tall, and had been entombed for over 75 years. Inside the room, were preserved beer bottles, turn of the century German newspapers, and Edison light bulbs. Many of these artifacts are on display in the Duveneck lobby.
